OCTOBER 4TH-11TH, 2027 • AMORGOS, GREECE
SOUL EXPANSION
A week to step outside the ordinary and reconnect with what makes you feel most alive
Maybe what you’re craving isn’t simply a vacation.
Maybe it’s the chance to reconnect with the parts of yourself that get quieter in everyday life. The parts that light you up, spark your curiosity and bring you joy.
Imagine waking up surrounded by breathtaking beauty, with an entire week ahead of you to move, create, explore, connect and follow your curiosity. To experience the magic of the island and see what unfolds when you have the space to step outside your usual rhythms.
Soul Expansion is an invitation to experience more of what makes you feel alive.
More beauty. More creativity. More connection. More rest. More play.
For one unforgettable week on Amorgos, we’ll immerse ourselves in it all and return home with a little more perspective, a little more possibility, and perhaps a wider sense of what we want to make room for next.
We’ve been here before
This will be sisters Sonja + Sasha’s fifth retreat together on Amorgos, a place they’ve returned to again and again for its wild beauty, welcoming spirit and unmistakable magic.
This time, Catherine Graf, founder of The Studio Healdsburg and creator of Movement Ritual, joins them in bringing together movement, creativity, self-inquiry and exploration. Each of us brings something different to the experience, with a shared belief in the power of stepping outside the familiar, following your curiosity and making space for what comes next.
Together, in one of our favorite places on earth, we’re creating a week designed to leave you feeling inspired, expanded and deeply connected to the experience of being there.
Your Hosts
Sasha Lyth
Sasha is a fine artist, creative guide, and Live Event Painter who has spent more than 20 years exploring the transformative power of art. Her work moves across painting, cyanotype, natural pigments, and mixed media, and her teaching has taken her from classrooms and community projects to workshops and retreats. She believes that intentional creative practice can quiet the noise, open our intuition, and reconnect us with the parts of ourselves that are often overlooked.
On this retreat, Sasha will invite you to explore your own creative spirit through intuitive art-making, guided painting experiences, and opportunities to paint outdoors in the landscapes and villages of Amorgos. No art experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to follow what feels natural. Her hope is that through the simple act of making, noticing, and being present, you leave feeling creatively awakened, deeply connected, and a little more at home in yourself.
Sonja Lyth
Sonja is a Pilates instructor, integrative health coach, and founder of SolShine Pilates & Wellness. For more than 20 years, she has been helping people build strength, move with greater ease, and feel at home in their bodies through her holistic approach to movement and wellness.
She hosted her first retreat in Greece 10 years ago, alongside her sister, Sasha, and has since curated multiple retreats around the world. Amorgos continues to hold a special place in her heart. There is something about the island - the energy, natural beauty, simplicity, and deep sense of peace - that invites you to slow down, open up, and feel fully alive. On this retreat, Sonja hopes to create space for movement, adventure, rest, connection, and plenty of joy, while sharing a place that has meant so much to her over the past decade.
Catherine Graf
Catherine is the founder + owner of The Studio, a Pilates instructor and the creator of Movement Ritual, an evolving body of work exploring the intersection of movement, astrology and self-inquiry. For nearly two decades, she has created spaces where people can build strength, cultivate presence, and reconnect with themselves through movement and meaningful community.
On this retreat, Catherine will weave together many of the practices that have shaped her own journey, inviting guests to explore what comes naturally, what may be calling them forward, and what becomes possible when we create more range in how we move through our lives. Her hope is that every guest leaves with a renewed sense of ease, clarity, and connection.
The Location
Amorgos is a remarkably unspoiled island at the Southeastern edge of the Cyclades group, where traditional customs are still inextricably interwoven into a landscape as rich in beauty as its history and culture.
It is known for its serene energy, crystal-clear waters, and timeless white-washed villages. From the hotel’s terraces, you’ll watch light shift across the sea. From nearby paths, you’ll find ancient ruins, quiet beaches, and dramatic, wild terrain.
For seven nights, we’ll make our home at the 5-star Aegialis Hotel & Spa, perched above the sea with sweeping views of the island and surrounding water. Spa access, sea views, and nourishing meals are all part of the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Amorgos does not have an airport, which is part of what keeps the island feeling so special and relatively untouched. Most guests will fly into Athens International Airport (ATH) and travel by ferry from the Port of Piraeus to Amorgos.
Ferries arrive at either Aegiali or Katapola, the island’s two ports. Aegiali is closest to our hotel, and transfers between the port and Aegialis Hotel & Spa can be arranged as part of your arrival and departure.
Because ferry schedules for October 2027 will not be released until much closer to the retreat, we’ll provide detailed travel guidance and recommended routes once schedules become available.
We strongly recommend spending at least one night in Athens before traveling to Amorgos rather than trying to coordinate an international flight and same-day ferry.
-
Absolutely. Many guests come to retreats on their own, and it often becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the experience.
Soul Expansion is intentionally designed to make connection happen naturally through shared movement, meals, workshops, excursions and plenty of unstructured time together. There will also be space to retreat, recharge and enjoy time on your own whenever you need it.
If you’re traveling solo, you’re welcome to reserve a private room or choose a shared room if you’re coming with a friend.
-
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. Because Soul Expansion is an intimate retreat with limited rooms available in each category, reservations are first come, first served.
Your room is not considered reserved until your deposit has been received. For shared accommodations, all guests sharing the room must complete their registration and deposit within 48 hours to secure the shared rate.
-
Hosting an intimate international retreat requires thoughtful planning and early financial commitments. Our cancellation policy is designed to balance flexibility for guests while honoring the commitments required to hold this experience.
Your initial deposit is non-refundable. Additional payments become progressively non-refundable as the retreat approaches and final commitments are made with the hotel and our retreat partners.
Your registration may be transferred to another person if you are able to find someone to take your place.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment.
-
We recommend waiting to book your final travel to Amorgos until ferry schedules for October 2027 are released and we have provided the group with our recommended travel routes.
You may choose to book your international flight to Athens earlier, particularly if you find a great fare, but we recommend building in at least one night in Athens before continuing to Amorgos.
As we get closer to the retreat, we’ll share detailed arrival and departure guidance so you can coordinate your travel with ease.
-
We strongly recommend it. Because this is an international retreat and many of the costs associated with your stay are committed well in advance, travel insurance can help protect your investment if something unexpected affects your plans.
We recommend choosing a comprehensive policy that includes trip cancellation and interruption, medical coverage, travel delays and lost or delayed baggage. Be sure to review your individual policy carefully so you understand what is and is not covered.
-
Daily breakfast and dinner are included throughout the retreat and will be served at Aegialis Hotel & Spa, with fresh Mediterranean and Greek-inspired dishes featuring local ingredients.
Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and the hotel can accommodate gluten-free and other dietary needs with advance notice. Please share any allergies or dietary restrictions with us when you register so we can coordinate with the hotel ahead of your arrival.
Lunch is not included, giving you the flexibility to eat at the hotel, explore nearby cafés and restaurants, or keep the middle of your day open depending on our schedule.
Thinking about joining, but want to connect first?
Please let us know if you’ve been on a retreat like this before, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. We want to make sure our retreat is the right fit for you and that the experience flows as seamlessly as possible for an intimate group traveling overseas together! We’ll get back to you promptly to schedule a time to chat.
